The romantic sooky sooky story PART3

we left off at ;

"We're gonna have some fun...Princess"

As she slept, she could hear voices, two male voices conversing above her. Then they brought the rag to her nose again, and she slipped into an even deeper sleep.

"Did he or she or whatever send the money yet?" The man in the navy blue hood shirt asked, "Let me check." The man in the black hood shirt replied. He went over to his computer and typed in his password, "Yea, all 5 million euro." Both men smiled and turned to the sleeping beauty on the ground, who began to mumble incoherent words, and the blue hoodlum placed the rag over her nostrils again.

"You've gotta be careful with that stuff," black hoodlum said, "Does it even matter? We're gonna kill her anyway!" Blue replied. Black was abort to retort when his cellphone rang, "Yes?...Yea, we're going to take her out to the dock and burn everything that ties us to her....okay." He hung up the phone and turned to his associate, "Time for the Princess to take a permanent nap."

Blue scooped her up in his arms, and exited the broken down shack, Black following closely behind him. They placed her in the back of their stolen Saab, and placed the chloroform rag on her face. "Putting that thing on her face for her to inhale so much is gonna cause some sort of damage to her brain, yknow," Black said, matter-of-factly, Blue rolled his eyes, "Have you forgotten that we're supposed to KILL HER?!" Black rubbed the back of his neck, mumbled something and opened the door, slipping into the passenger's seat. Blue gently closed her door then jumped into the drivers seat, turned the sedan on and sped off into the snowy night. He was speeding as he spoke to Black, "Now, I've already cut out a piece of the ice up there in Avalanche Lake, we'll tie blocks to her feet, and have her sink to the bottom. Quick and painless." Black rubbed his neck, "Fine, I don't wanna watch."

Blue swerved again, "Slow down, we're going to skid on the ice!" As soon as Black spoke, Black swerved, and unknown to them, Aarti's back door flung open, her lifeless body rolled out on the cold road of the highway.

Blue and black begun arguing about Blue's driving and made it all the way to Avalanche before they realized that Aarti was missing, "FUCK! how could we have lost her? she's fucking knocked out!" Blue shouted, and he punched a dent into the Saab. "Listen, it's like 8 fucking degrees out here, she'll freeze to death! We got our money, let's just go!" Black said. Blue shook his head, jumped in the car, Blue following behind, and drove into the night, Canada as their goal.

She laid there for a good 3 minutes on the cold asphalt, all scratched and bruised from the fall before the light of a motorcycle appeared from the darkness, the owner stopped to look at the young lady in the snow. He looked her over, checking her pulse, relieved to find one. "Hey miss, wake up!" He was rewarded with silence. He sighed and looked around, seeing the road was empty, he put her on his bike, her arms wrapped around him, and he slowly drove to the hospital.

He lifted her in his arms bridal style and walked to the emergency entrance, "Help someone!" Soon, nurses poured from the lounge, helping the young girl onto a hospital bed and shipped her off to an undisclosed room, out of his sight.

He sat in the lounge, wondering if he should wait or leave. "Her family will be arriving soon, so its better if I just go." As her rose to leave, a nurse approached him, "Sir, we have some good news about your girlfriend." He shook his head, "She's not my girlfriend." The nurse hesitated, "Sorry, your sister-"

"She's not my sister either."

"Oh, well..hmm..nevermind then. She's stable now, any longer out there she would have frozen to death. Her bruises and scratches will heal without scarring. All just minor things really, we fixed her up quite fast. Does she have any family she could contact?"

"I don't know." He replied.

"Well, we couldn't find her records in the system. So we had to alert the authorities, they're here to question you." Behind her stood two detectives dressed in soiled suits, and scruffy beards. As if cued, they walked over to the young man, as the nurse walked away. "Hi, uhhhh.."

"James Hardelle."

"Mr. Hardelle, I'm detective Stephens, this is my partner, det. Jones. We'd like to ask you a couple questions about the girl."

James nodded and sat down. "So how do you know the young lady?" Detective Jones asked. "I found her on the side of the road, just lying there. She looked pretty banged up, so I put her on my bike carried her here."

"So she was just lying there on the side of the road?" Det. Stephens asked. "Yea, I was on my way home from an art exhibit, and I saw her."

The detectives looked at each other, then back at James, "We can't find her anywhere in the system, no medical records..nothin'. It's like she fell from the sky or somethin'." James merely shook his shoulders. Det. Jones handed him a business card, "Call us when she wakes up kid, we need to ask her some questions." James nodded as both police turned to leave.

The nurse approached him again, "She seems to be stable. Would you like to see her? " the kind woman asked. "Umm, sure, I guess." He replied, 'Wouldn't hurt to see how she's doing.' he though as he followed the nurse to a secluded room.

He saw her lying there in bed, a U.V. in her arm. He walked over to her as the nurse silently left the room. He looked at her sleeping form, staring at her button nose, her full lips, he was in awe at her beauty. Her eyes shot open revealing sapphire irises, causing him to step back in surprise, then he heard a whisper so small, it was as if it came from a small child, "Otets..." Her eyes snapped shut and she resumed her slumber. He stepped towards her bed and repeated the word, "Otets...is..is that russian?" He sighed, tussled her hair and left talking to himself. "Tomorrow, hopefully she'll wake up and we can get to the bottom of this."

Before he left, he gave all his contact information to the nurse and left the hospital.
