The romantic sooky sooky story PART5

*So i read part 4 over and sooo many mistakes, i'll try to type without typos.*

He awoke the next morning, and crawled around his apartment, lazily frying eggs sunny side up, and bacon wile putting wheat bread to toast. He buttered his toast, and grabbed his large mug of fresh coffee and slowly sank into the cheap sponge of his couch.

As he was about the turn the television on, his phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Hello, Good morning Mr. Hardelle." It was the Nurse from the emergency room.

"Good morning nurse...uhhh,"

"Nurse Smith."

"Ah yes, Nurse Smith. Is everything okay?"

"Yes, everything's fine. She seems to be coming around, but we had a small altercation this morning."

He sat up. "Altercation?"

*EARLIER THAT MORNING*

The sunlight burned her skin, causing the darkness behind her eyelids to appear red. She slowly opened them, the light brightening her oceanic eyes as she attempted to sit up in her hospital bed. Her eyes searched her surroundings and she quickly deducted that she was in a hospital...and that's when panic and paranoia set in.

Where was she? Who is she? What's going on? Why is she bruised and in pain? Was she raped?

She yanked the I.V. from her arm, her blood gushing all over the pale blue sheets, causing the emergency alarm to go off. She held her ears tightly, and she slowly walked towards the door and as she was about to reach for the knob, it flung open reveal a male and female nurse who ran to restrain her. She dodged them by a hair, and ran down the hall in a zig zag pattern, and as she was about the round a left corner, she came face to face with a large male nurse, who grabbed her arms with one hand and injected her with morphine.

She fought but slowly, her vision was fading and she settled back into sleep.

*PRESENT*

"She put up quite a fight for a young, injured girl. But we managed to subdue her. She's resting now, you may see her after the police have questioned her." Nurse Smith said quietly.

"the police are there?" He asked.

" 'Course they are dear, we're under strict orders to report to them first. They have jurisdiction over us."

"Oh, well I'll come and visit her later. Thank you for calling."

"You're welcome Mr.Hardelle." her voice sounded almost excited.

He hung up, and resumed his breakfast, all the while watching Penguins of Madagascar on Nickelodeon. (Hey, the guy enjoys the little things!) he was a little worried about the girl, but he would see how she was when he got to the hospital.

After he popped the last piece of toast in his mouth, he put the dirty dishes and skillet in the dishwasher, took a quick shower, got dressed in a white t-shirt, jeans and regular sneakers, jumped on his bike and headed to the hospital.

He entered the wing, and was met with Nurse Smith. He hadn't even noticed her red hair, and green eyes, or even her thin lips and straight nose that night, he was too concerned with the stranger. He had to admit, Nurse Smith was an attractive woman.

"Mr.Hardelle, how nice to see you again. Came to visit the nameless?" She said, a little too depressing.

"The nameless?" He asked, his right brow raised.

"Inside joke. The nurses call her that because she technically doesn't exist."

He sighed and looked behind her, "Where's her room?"

"Down the hall, then left, the first door to your right is her room. But you can't go in there now. the detectives are still with her."

"Alright, well I'll just wait."

He sat down in the lounge and picked up a bike magazine and began to read it lazily for 2 minutes before he realised that she was still standing there. He looked up from his magazine, "Yes, Nurse Smith?" he asked for what he felt like was the 5 millionth time of the day.

"Abi." She said, barely a murmur.

"What?" he asked.

'My friends call me Abi." She said again, this time louder.

"Oh, nice to meet you...Abi."

A bright smile was slapped on her face, which was replaced by a deep crimson blush as she stared at her shoes. "Ummm, Mr.Hardelle.."

"James."

Her eyes shot up to meet his, "Since you told me your name, I'm telling you mine. Although, you probably already know that since I gave you all my information from last night."

She nodded stupidly and returned to stare at her shoes, "Would you...would you like to go out for coffee sometime?"

He sighed to himself. This was bound to be trouble. He stayed away from women romantically because of their constant need to break his heart. "I...I don't think so, Abi."

She blushed again and nodded. "It's alright."

"No, it's not you, believe me."

"It's alright James. We can be friends though right?" She said, pathetically hopeful.

"Sure." He replied.

"Okay! umm, Miss Nameless will be done with the detectives soon, so you'll be able to see her." Her tone indifferent.

"Thank you...Abi." He whispered and went back to reading his magazine. This would be a long day indeed.
